Cex McDonald’s Coffs Coast CyCle Challenge LAUNCHED in Coffs Harbour

Local MP Luke Hartsuyker officially launched the Cex McDonald’s Coffs Coast Cycle Challenge at the C.ex Club, hosted by Coffs City Rotary Club.

“Events like this are a boost for the local tourist industry.” MP Luke Hartsuyker said.

The official launch warmly welcomed 2017’s volunteers for the event along with valued attendees from the Coffs Coast and extended appreciation to the events’ new major sponsors; C.ex group and McDonald’s. Many other sponsors were also noted such as Mercedes Benz Coffs Coast, HQB, NAB, Isles Industrial Park, Coffs Harbour Council, MBT Lawyers, Infracraft, Kennards Hire, Amart Sports Coffs Harbour, DKM Group, Faircloth & Reynolds, and the Coffs Coast Advocate.

The community event is likely to attract well over 1000 riders on August 6, which is a healthy growth in participants from the first running of the event eight years ago, which attracted just 100 riders. Coffs City Rotary Club contributed themselves to the local community, committing themselves to organising the event over the years and are looking forward to the eighth event this year.

“We are pleased to be involved as a naming sponsor of the event for 2017, whereas in previous years we were a minor sponsor. We are also delighted to offer the ‘2017 children ride free’ incentive to the younger locals for this years’ event,” John Raffety, CEO C.ex Club stated.

The event is open to competitive and recreational riders of all ages as well as riders with a disability, and,new to this year’s event is the ‘children ride for free’ initiative. For more information, go to cexmcdonaldscyclechallenge.com
